Henry's Cottage

Henry’s Cottage is a lovely country Cottage, filled with charm, that will sleep up to 10 people. Located on Rouse Street, the main street of historic Tenterfield, this Cottage features four spacious Queen bedrooms – the forth room containing two Queen beds. With its central location it is ideal as a weekender or for longer stays.

Henry’s Cottage has a cosy Lounge where you can enjoy a flickering log fire in the winter months or make use of the split system airconditioning for heating or cooling all year round.  There is also a separate sitting/reading room that can be accessed directly from two of the bedrooms affording couples or individuals ‘time out’ or some privacy from the group.

The main bathroom features a bath & separate shower, hand basin & toilet. There is a second separate toilet across the hallway. The twin bedroom (room 4) has ensuite with wash basin, shower and toilet. This room also has direct access to the sitting/reading room. Each of the rooms has a wash basin & amenities are included.

Henry’s Cottage is an ideal choice for couples wanting to get away with friends or family groups & bridal parties wanting that little bit of extra space. The convenience of being in town means you can leave the car and enjoy a leisurely stroll to the Tenterfield Visitor Information Centre, the local supermarket, an Artists Collective Studio and numerous boutiques and cafes. Just down the road, you will find ‘School of the Arts’ – a cinema, museum and cafe. It is here you will discover more about our rich history and the infamous speech given by Sir Henry Parkes – the speech that changed a nation.

At the rear of the Cottage there is a courtyard with outdoor table and chairs. Henry’s Cottage is located immediately next door to ‘Best Western The Henry Parkes Motel & Restaurant’ which sits on the corner of Rouse and Miles Street. Henry’s Restaurant is open seven days for breakfast and dinner. The restaurant offers country style meals using fresh local produce such as prime New England Beef & farm fresh veggies.
