2017 Henry Parkes Oration,
on Saturday, 28th October, 2017 at 2.00p.m.
in the Museum at the Sir Henry Parkes Memorial School of Arts, Tenterfield.
Afternoon tea will be served after the Oration.
The 2017 Oration will be delivered by Ian Chubb AC
Ian Chubb was the Vice-Chancellor of the Australian National University from 2001 to 2011. From 2011 to 2016, he was the Chief Scientist of Australia.
The topic of the Oration will be:
“A Steed to be Harnessed: Science for the Benefit of the Nation.”
Professor Chubb imagines a Commonwealth fit for the twenty-first century: armed with science, guided by principle and led with conviction.
Admission is free but seating is limited.
